About the Program
Advanced English is designed to help you get your level of English to an entirely new level. As a part of the class, you will be introduced to texts from a range of disciplines, including Philosophy, History, Science, and more. You will learn to critically assess these texts and effectively communicate your thoughts in your written works.

This class is perfect for those who want to get a taste of and prepare for quality international education. Note that Advanced English will most certainly be the most challenging English class you have ever had. However, our teaching experience shows that surviving the pressure of this program will indicate your readiness in applying to the world's top universities.

In this section, you can expect a comprehensive dive into competitive admissions, liberal arts education, and the trade-offs of the American schooling system.
Philosophy & Political Thought
From Ibn Tufayl to Mahatma Gandhi, this section will introduce you to a wide range of fundamental texts that challenged the "status quo" and captivated thinkers for centuries. By the end of the section, you too will learn to think like a philosopher.
Historical Narratives
What is the past? Why do we need to know it, and can history prepare us for the future? These and many other questions will lie at the core of this section as we stride over a geographically diverse range of historical narratives.
Global Challenges
Before one can find a solution, one must understand the root cause of a problem. In this section, you will learn to investigate the root causes of contemporary challenges including inequality, universal human rights, climate change, and more.

Being one of the first students at Freshman, Sega managed to increase his SAT score from 1060 to 1520 over a span of six months and was subsequently admitted to one of the most selective colleges in the world.

Advanced English Teacher
Meherwan is a Yale-NUS College graduate, majoring in Philosophy. He believes the best way to learn is to teach, which has led him to teach and guide students from various backgrounds in multiple disciples.
