As a part of the class, you will be introduced to texts from a range of disciplines, including Philosophy, History, Science, and more. You will learn to critically assess these texts and effectively communicate your thoughts in your written works.
This class is perfect for those who want to get a taste of and prepare for quality international education. Note that Advanced English will most certainly be the most challenging English class you have ever had. From Ibn Tufayl to Mahatma Gandhi, this section will introduce you to a wide range of fundamental texts that challenged the "status quo" and captivated thinkers for centuries. By the end of the section, you too will learn to think like a philosopher.

Sega is a Yale-NUS College graduate, majoring in History and minoring in Arts & Humanities. Being one of the first students at Freshman, Sega managed to increase his SAT score from 1060 to 1520 over a span of six months and was subsequently admitted to one of the most selective colleges in the world.
Meherwan Patel
Advanced English Teacher
Meherwan is a Yale-NUS College graduate, majoring in Philosophy. He believes the best way to learn is to teach, which has led him to teach and guide students from various backgrounds in multiple disciples.
